MSNBC is goddamned unwatchable. (Edit to add) at the moment.

Last edited Sun Nov 4, 2012, 08:35 PM - Edit history (1)

Andrea Greenfuckingspan. Chuckles and Monkeyface. Not a goddamned whisper of 538 just the blather about it's a neck and neck race with juicy bits "Romney Passion" thrown in. And of course they had to throw in a clip of Christie saying he would vote for WilLIARd. I am so done with the main stream media. I guess I had some stupid idea that MSNBC had a somewhat liberal tilt. Bullshit. It's as bad as CNN. Aside from Al,Rachel,Ed and Lawrence it sucks.

End rant.

You get Ed, Rachel and Lawrence tonight ... that's five hours of progressive/Democratic tilt broadcasting.

I have yet to hear a word that Rmoney is going to win.

watching after Keith left. I can't deal with the lies and mass efforts to push the corporate agenda those a**holes have been team Romney since day one its unbelievable how the media constantly tries to brain wash the public into supporting their greed. I get what Noam Chomsky was talking about when he said that billions of dollars are spent to keep the public voting against it's own interests.

the MSM except for entertainment purposes since 2004 when I could no longer be sure I might not become violent listening to them treat Bush as if he really was president, also the fear of possibly seeing him by accident.

But I know what they are saying. There are no independent journalists on the MSM so how could we expect any real reporting, on Issues eg. I am willing to bet that Issues are not part of the discussion, other than when they relate to the 'horse race'.

No in depth taking apart of the lies about Social Security and the Deficit etc, no investigative journalism regarding our so-called 'War on Terror', or the loss of our Civil Liberties etc. So who needs to watch it when nothing ever changes, not even the talking heads? They use 'safe' people to discuss elections who won't cross any lines. It's boring aside from anything else.

Steve Kornacki is not too bad. Martin Barshir who has grown on me a lot. And countless regular guests like Eugene Robinson and Richard Wolff and so many others I can't name. Only Andrea Mitchell and Chuckie and Joe Scar are all that bad to me. MSNBC as a whole is quite watchable. And I wish Ezra Klein had his own show.

But if you want news, CNN and MSNBC are both pretty good. I flip between them. As for me, I don't want to hear just rah-rah. I want to hear a balance, with teh real news about the left (which right now is that Obama is leading in almost all the battleground states, and has been for a looooong time).

The truth is they are a centralist to just right of center news organization that has 5 shows (Bashir, Sharpton, Ed, Maddow and O'Donnell) that lean left. The other 19 hours of their newscast is not left leaning at all. And the 5 hours of liberal talk shows are nearly equalized with the 3 hours (in a very suitable prime time morning news slot) of Morning Joe!

So if a +2 hours of liberal news programing over the course of a day from a 24 hour news channel makes them a wildly liberal network, I don't know what else to say? And I am not even counting Chuck Todd's show which is 1 hour long and moves to the right by the minute.

You compare MSNBC's programing to FOX and its not even close.

I don't give a flying fuck how close they want to pretend the race is--I just care about the polling and the voting results in each of the 50 states. All this "Romney and Obama are neck-and-neck nationally" shit is getting irritating. They're turning politics into a fucking spectator sport. And whenever they show both of their rallies, they could at least show more of their crowds so that people can get an idea of how close it truly is, because whenever I see pics of Robme stump speeches, there's hardly anybody at his. But Obama's stay packed.

Haven't decided how to spend election eve - maybe I'll just monitor things through DU. On the one hand, I hate to miss it, but I'm so fed up with the media.

Anyone else have any good plans for election eve?
