To quote the Rolling Stone piece:
Even Trump Thinks Dr. Oz Will Fking Lose, Sources Say.
And we all know how that Former Guy hates LOSERS. So, it should come as no surprise that in addition to DeSantis working a rally for the odious Republican candidate for Governor, Doug Mastriano, we will also have Trump in PA working the crowd and beating the weeds for the flailing Dr. Oz.
According to the article, Trump just cannot get his brain around his celebrity-pick doing so badly. Some allies are suggesting Oz wants to lose. LOL! If I were a better person, I might feel sympathy for Oz, the continuous humiliation he's been facing.
But I'm not and I don't.
Guaranteed if after this September 3rd rally with Herr Drumpt, Oz numbers don't go up? He'll be a Trumper pariah, forever.
But then, there's always New Jersey, Doc!

(11,541 posts)But expect the numbers to be inflated and the crowd described as Yuuuuge.
The only crowd that counts, of course, is the one on Election Day. From the current polling and the rate of registrations (particularly among women), Trump may rethink his political future.
Preferably behind bars! LOL

(11,541 posts)As the GOP tut-tuts the electoral significance of the Roe decision, women are registering in record numbers.
It's not smart to threaten women's futures and lives. Forced birth does not have a good ring to it.
Who knew?
The majority of Americans, that's who.

Jesus ain't gonna pay for their child support.

(11,541 posts)who are angry as hell that their wives' lives are being put on the line by religious fanaticism. And fathers terrified for their young daughters. Rightly so.
Republicans thought they scored a victory through the courts. Time to reap the whirlwind, ladies and gentlemen!

(3,853 posts)You're right that the numbers are off the chart. The bigger story to me though is the breakdown between Dem vs Rep registrations pre and post Dobbs. For example, registrations in PA were running +4 Dem before Dobbs but +40 Dem after Dobbs. These newly registered Dem voters will be the deciding factor in close House and Senate races. Sorry if my links doesn't work. You can check out Tom's work at @tbonier. He has tracking for 19 states completed and will be adding more.

(11,541 posts)Someone else suggested there was a Democratic mole inside the Oz tent sabotaging the campaign. Doing a hell of a job, too!
Whatever the reason, things are going to heat up after Labor Day. Dr. Oz isn't a stupid man. So far, however, he's been a terrible candidate who, I suspect, was led to believe the campaign would be a walk in the park. Just waltz in with his celebrity status and pack your bags for DC.
Not happening.
I know from a number of articles, Oz and his people are banking on the debates to turn things around. They want five, five shots hoping Fetterman has bad performances or becomes frustrated or stumbles over his answers. I doubt Fetterman will agree to more than two. Why should he? He's hitting the golden 50% in recent polling.
We shall see.
