With your surgeon’s cap and mask on your head, you are gently pushing aside the same cortical structure, passing the same neural landmarks, to get to and clip the same vessels of the brain in order to save your patient from an aneurism about to explode. So, I wonder, what unseen synapses make the 1% so avaricious, so uncaring and so reveling in deception of the other 99% in a rapacious glib attack on the meager savings of these people that are just trying to get by after a life-time of trying to be as efficient and as productive as possible in order to be worth the salary earned?
Yet, somehow, with the exact same structures packed into their skulls, the 1%-ers almost religiously believe in their entitlement to turn the lives and flesh of the 99% into gold for themselves. Why are they entitled to flesh-eating wealth? Why to MORE wealth now from the flesh of the helpless? Are their arms some exclusive cornucopia that avalanches well being on the other 99%? Or do they really work in the opposite direction to sweep into their insatiable bosoms the nation’s wealth?
Am I saving some 1%-er brain from a deadly vascular explosion so it can go on and give of itself to the better of mankind or am I saving a criminal mind, me following the oath to play no favorites and struggle to save all lives as equally worthy of my best every time?
The Hippocratic Oath answers all these questions from my perspective. What it doesn’t answer if why the Republican Party I once though to be moral and humane has become a mafia criminal organization of the 1% rich who wants life denied to the many so it can be turned into gold for the select few?
In medical school one learns of the invaluable worth of life—every life; for the lowest life has reached the absolute ceiling of worth; therefore there can be none worth more than the life before the surgeon on the moment gloves are slipped on hands and he enters the sterile field.
That, simply, is why I am a Republican for Obamacare….for Obama and rabidly against Romney.There’s one thing I know: it is not the visible landmarks in each brain that distinguish it from another, but the sub-microscopic synapses whose linkages are made through a life time’s upbringing and moral education that distinguish good from bad.
Romney pretends to have learned in a moral God-loving religious tradition the distinction between the good brain and the bad brain. No, there’s no clear line of demarcation; but the difference between the avaricious 1% and the desperate 99% trying to get by while struggling to live a worthy life—as exemplified by so many First Responders and volunteers during a crisis like Katrina and Sandy—is as clear as day vs. night.
By supporting Romney I would have to choose to stand with the avaricious predatory 1% that would deny my services to the many as if only those 1% who accumulate much wealth are worthy of my skills. To offer-up my skills to the 99% under Obamacare outrages Romney because that might eat into the wealth of the 1% and might keep alive some 99%-ers who invariably might once again come back to the medical trough seeking, once again, life-saving care at the expense of the 1 %. The alternative—OBAMACARE—means all humans are of equal worth-- ANONYMOUS victims of a disease under the sterile blue drapes.
So, Obamacare is, therefore, the Hippocratic Oath made law. Sure, we’ll have t tweak it a lot in years to come to make it better and more efficient…..but never will we tinker with it in service of the avarice of the 1% by neglecting the 99%
It’s that simple…..all other counter-arguments go dark under the shadow of Obama’s massive edifice to the Hippocratic Oath. We will be compensated for our labor as would anyone else who works for a living. No, Obamacare is not Communism. I lived under Communism so I can tell you: Romney’s alternative is what existed under Communism; where the suffering of illness by the 99% was considered “theft of services” from the State that belonged to the Communist Party’s 1% elite. The State was the 1% whom the Politburo deemed its golden children and to whom the 99% owed everything. These were the Communist Party apparchiks……Are the members of Romney’s 1% not an IDENTICAL mob of Wall Street Apparatchicks, the 1% to whom Romney would enslave us?
Think HIPPOCRATIC OATH and then you know exactly how you’ll vote. For one thing I know, America did not beat World Communism just to create a World Wall Streetism under Romney where the sick are charged with “sabotage of the Wall Street State” because they not only can not come to work but would also drain capital from the 1% to take care of their health.
All Obamacare insists on is that every sick American is entitled to exactly the same care Ann Romney got for the Multiple Sclerosis and Breast Cancer she parades to create sympathy for her husband. I salute her courage, her survival and her determination to “beat” these illnesses. But my sympathy will no extend to her support for the Romney that would deny 99% of Americans the SAME healthcare she got so they can be as functional as she is with her chronic diseases. As a full member of the ideologic 1% party of predators who would repeal Obamacare, Romney has lost this one Republican because I was trained to value all life equally, not the just the Wall Street Party Elite 1%.
How could I elect as president a man who believes in a religion that his magic underwear entitles him to “Paradise on Earth” as the 1% who follow his church. A lot of the other 1% would get their up&comings if he were elected as they are not part of the part of the 1% that would make themselves Paradise on Earth parasitically swindling them too.
Obamacare=Hippocratic Oath. So, physicians, heal thyselves from profit motive disease and come on board the arc before the flood of pro-Romney avarice drowns you all. The end of the great American Experiment that drew so many talented people to our shores is at had if a faction of the 1% that believes that God entitles them to Paradise on Earth get to own the American Presidency constitutionally supposed to be in the service of the whole 100% of us.
