If this ever go into effect, we’re going to see armed, abusive men kidnapping their pregnant wives and girlfriends to stop them from getting abortions. Some of them will not survive and these dirtbags will have a defense: “protecting” the embryo.

And that’s just what these abusive, heavily armed men might be able to get away with against their own partners. They’d have open season to kill their gf’s friends or family or doctors or anyone else they suspected of helping her get an abortion.

This bill would LITERALLY, no hyperbole at all, legalize the murder of abortion doctors. Can't murder the mom because it would kill the baby too, so that wouldn't be a defense. But you can kill any abortion doctor on sight.

Thank goodness Governor Cooper would veto these bills, but that is very minimal comfort.

Not even a month to the day, and Dobbs has failed us. States should not have the right to legalize barbarism against its own citizens. State laws are far more oppressive and Draconian than federal laws.

meaning that if it were to pass it would be hard to undo and not subject to NC judicial review. In NC you need 60% majority of each house of the legislature and a majority of the state wide vote to pass an amendment.
