So will we ever know what happened with the failure of Law enforcement planning on the 6th.

I'm just an old woman who follows the news. I knew a few days before there was going to be trouble. We have yet to get clear answers about the lack of action by the FBI who we know were monitoring these right wing groups. Why did things break down so severly between the Capitol Hill Police and the DC Police. Why wasn't the National Guard on site. Who gave the stand down orders and who was complicit in this... The Cops must have had a clue there was going to be trouble yet their higher ups did nothing.

This whole conspiracy seems so far reaching and even more frightening than we have been told.

when the decision is to prosecute, or even start investigating, other feds or other law enforcement all of a sudden they've got lead boots on and are very concerned Susan Collins style about treading on these poor delicate patriotic civil servants.

Did the CIA/FBI/Military intelligence agencies know what what going to happen?
If not, they are a disgrace.

If they did know, did they warn the Cap and DC police?
If not, they are a disgrace.

If they were warned why weren't the Cap police better prepared?

Someone else here today said that the FBI did warn the Cap police.
But then why were the police totally unprepared?

Nothing makes sense to me. Yes we need some answers.

tfg had the FBI stop looking at white supremacist groups in 2019:

Trump officials have redirected resources from countering far-right, racism-fueled domestic terrorism

In the aftermath of mass shootings in Texas and Ohio, President Trump vowed Monday to give federal law enforcement “whatever they need” to investigate and disrupt hate crimes and domestic terrorism.
But the Department of Homeland Security, which is charged with identifying threats and preventing domestic terrorism, has sought to redirect resources away from countering anti-government, far-right and white supremacist groups.

The shift has come despite evidence of a growing danger. Last year, every extremist killing in the United States involved a follower of far-right hate groups or ideology, according to the Anti-Defamation League’s Center on Extremism. The FBI has noted a sharp increase in domestic terrorism cases involving white supremacists.

tfg let them grow without interference from the FBI. That is on tfg's shoulders.

It could imply that he was colluding with them at some level even earlier than we guess. Makes you wonder what he was setting up or what Bannon was setting up to keep those troops in his back pocket for when they were needed. You have to wonder if they knew that at some point they might need that Militia Has their own private attack army

Some of what I’m picking up on in all of this J6 information is that there are members of the FBI, Secret Service, Capital Police, other law enforcement agencies and the Armed Forces (including National Guard), while maybe not directly involved, they are sympathizers, enablers, and many in the ranks who choose to look away just at the moment that they should have been looking or listening. That way, they can’t report what they “didn’t see (or hear)”. If enough people do that, then things can slide along like a snake with an invisible head.

The same things you are. Who gave the stand down order; why did Grassley think Pence wouldn't be presiding; why was support for the Capitol rejected during the attack. Names, charges and indictments. Let's get this shitshow on the road and start prosecuting. Let's start with the Flynn brothers.

The plan worked until it didn't.

Thanks to Capitol Police and quite possibly Divine Intervention.

Let's make sure it doesn't happen again.

14. Breaking down the question ...

The first question is why wasn't the National Guard on site. There has been reporting on that already. The DOD issued the following directive ahead of time, which slowed the response down. I think there were actually some DC National Guard nearby on traffic duty, and on purpose not armed. On Jan. 6 they would have needed to go back to barracks to get equipment. Here is the DOD order from Secretary of Defense issued ahead of Jan. 6:

"Without my subsequent, personal authorization, the DCNG is not authorized the following:

To be issued weapons, ammunition, bayonets, batons, or ballistic protection equipment such as helmets, and body armor.
To interact physically with protestors, except when necessary in self-defense or defense of others, consistent with the DCNG Rules for the Use of Force.
To employ any riot control agents.
To share equipment with law enforcement agencies.
To use Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) assets or to conduct ISR or Incident, Awareness, and Assessment activities.
To employ helicopters or any other air assets.
To conduct searches, seizures, arrests, or other similar direct law enforcement activity.
To seek support from any non-DCNG National Guard units. […]
You may employ the DCNG Quick Reaction Force (QRF) only as a last resort and in response to a request from an appropriate civil authority. If the QRF is so employed, DCNG personnel will be clearly marked and/or distinguished from civilian law enforcement personnel, and you will notify me immediately upon your authorization."

The second question is why wasn't the D.C. Police already in place, and co-mingled with the Capitol Police. Not sure, and also not sure how large of a force they have. The D.C. Police who were there seemed to respond relatively quickly.

So, assuming the D.C. Police were not enough to supplement the Capitol Police, it's the DC National Guard issue. The Secretary of Defense would have to agreed to outfit and deploy them ahead of time, which did not happen. Or, the QRF would have needed to respond quickly - but there was a major holdup in deploying the QRF - I don't think this has been adequately explained.

There is actually a fascinating theory that was floated several months ago that it was on purpose that the QRF was deployed slowly. Either that or fortuitous. If QRF was onsite sooner, Trump could have re-missioned them to clear the Capitol, lawmakers included, which DOD wanted to avoid (speculation). You can search for the article.

There's no way the Capitol is policed by 3 cops. No way. Somebody cleared the place of security ahead of time. Also, we still need to figure out why the head cop "cleared" loudermilk (before the tape??). He may have been in on it. I apologize in advance if I'm wrong, but nobody is above the law--not tfg, Congress, cops nor military.

With the support of the Secretaries of the armed forces and the Joint Chiefs. He was concerned that activating the National Guard would cause a major Constitutional crisis. Trump could federalize the guard and order them to arrest the members of Congress under the insurrection act.
