..And his following is going down a whole lot. Before hearings..close to 30%
After hearings less than 25%...and that is where it will stay in my opinion..Less than 20 % approval of his behavior.
Maybe, less than 15%.....Why?...........simple:
It will be repeated, hundreds of times, what Trump did was against the law..and he incited a failed insurrection that killed people.
Those 8 words will cut his base in half or more.....................he incited a failed insurrection that killed people.
More testimony is coming, will prove him the criminal that he is. But there is enough there right now, to totally
destroy his credibility in most people.
So, Who will most people believe: Cassidy Hutchinson or Donald Trump? There ain't no more.

(211 posts)I have a neighbor a couple of miles up the road from me. For the past 2 years they had a Trump sign by their driveway. After he lost the election they soon put out another sign that read "Trump 2024: Take America Back". Well, fast forward to the weekend after the hearings and the signs are gone! They took them down, which is great because I don't have to look at them anymore! Could they be finally waking up? If so why did it take this long for them to realize what Trump did?

(10,828 posts)Maybe MAGA fans weren't thrilled to find out they were conned, all that money sent into the ether, pinched from limited living expenses. Or that he lied to them from the start, made them all look like gullible marks.
Earlier this past week I read that the big donors were backing away, that they were exhausted by Donnie's antics and constant buffoonery.
The grift machine is starting to collapse. We'll know for sure when Don the Con gets in on Rudy's deal of selling $5 Chinese sandals for 50 bucks.
I suspect the heavy-hitter donors are going to look for a new vessel for their dreams.
Ron DeSantis coming right up!

(200 posts)The chances of heavily armed trump supporters taking to the streets diminishes with the erosion of his base.
I really have no doubt that Garland is going to indict trump. As impatient as I am for that to happen, closer to the midterms would be a great boon to the Democrats. The January 6th hearings are getting great ratings...the actual trials of the upper circle should be a ratings bonanza.
The media has complained that President Biden is boring...the trials of these traitors and the pathetic way they will turn on each other should provide the circus atmosphere the media requires of politics.
