It's been a hard day.

It feels awful.

I don’t know the percentages, but there are surely many, many more female physicians in 2020. I think the christofascists may have overplayed their hand, this time. They started this war, so now they will receive the full measure of our wrath. But, whatever happens to them, they have done to themselves.

It’s been a bad day to be a woman, for sure, but women rallied for their rights before, and we can do so again. I am just so sick of their politics of deception and trickery. They waste too much of our nation’s precious time and energy on this regressive nonsense. We have real work that needs done.

Next up will be LGBT rights.
And birth control, etc.

But, it sure took the insurrection hearing out of the news, toot sweet.

Would they really put American citizen’s lives in danger to change the news cycle? Yes. Yes they would. Without blinking an eye.

And they won't lose one minute of sleep over it.

Women's Rights are Human Rights and we are all human

I have many young women in my family that this can negatively impact and I do not accept it

This is some backward thinking bullshit. I'm not sitting still for it.

My better half is pretty shook up about it.

Because all women and girls who get impregnated by men are about to be criminalized by men who will not stand with women exerting their equal natural rights and constitutional rights of body autonomy and prior rights to life, liberty and equality.

And we will not accept the ruling. We. just. won't.

Those of us in safe blue states will help our sisters in anti abortion states.

That really means so much.

Thanks to all the good men out there who lift us up!

I'm beyond pissed-off. What they've done to my daughter, my granddaughter, and to every woman in this country, they've done to me.

I will never forgive and I will never forget.

I love every woman on DU, be you straight, lesbian, trans, or questioning. I pledge my unwavering support for your rights until the very second of my death.

This is a fight over who gets to control reproduction in America and that means it's a fight over self agency over one's own body.

As AOC said, this is such a heavy day.

I felt like I'd been punched, as soon as I learned about it. Haven't felt like I could catch a breath since then, even tho I knew it was coming. It just makes me so angry to see us go backwards 50 years in women's rights; knowing that this is just the start of the rights they want to strip from us, and from other minorities. Once we've all regained our collective breaths again, I think they're going to be very sorry for the smirking and outright lying they've done to get this passed.

In fact, I see this as part of the fascist coup that's still continuing, albeit just a slow motion piece accomplished through the different parts of government, rather than thru a single point person (i.e., *rump). Especially with Pence coming out for a National Ban immediately after praising SCOTUS for returning the decision to the States. How dumb and hypocritical can you be in one and the same sentence?!

Anyway, I'm falling asleep at the keyboard. Again, thank you for recognizing and appreciating our humanity. Thank you for standing with us. And, when the time comes, I'm sure I'll be saying thank you for acting with us, too. Real men are Feminists. Real men care. Real men are Democrats!

I fear for my younger cousins, friends, and my women sisters.

And for whomever, and whatever the RW Majority of the sCourt goes after next.

What an awful day!

For this reason alone, I am so glad that my daughters and granddaughters are all German citizens, as well as US citizens. Only one of my daughters lives in the USA, and she lives in New York, so the evil tentacles of Opus Dei will never get the chance to make decisions that will force her to do anything she wouldn't want to.
