Intentional or not, the ruling today is
taking the spotlight away from the latest January 6th committee revelations and the existential threat to the rule of law and to government of the people, by the people and for the people that such treason unambiguously implies.

3. Disagree. It's all knotted together, tied together by Trump and Treason. No deflection at all!

4. The Committee will reconvene in July. Roe will be dwindling in the new cycle.
It's up to us to keep the focus on the insurrection and the criminal cabal that is the Republican party.

5. I Agree, Ma'am
Each side gets a move in the game, and among the great shocks of this one is that originates from a body which is supposed to be (and is widely supposed still to be) an apolitical body, that actually is acting as merely one arm of a partisan contender.

6. Actually .....
The Jan. 6th committee is piling up NEW and more damaging information if what is being said is correct against fat twittler. He may laugh today, but come early in July his fat ass will go back to be crying again.
Not only Roe, but voting rights are on the books. Uncle Clarence is around here writing about and siding with a racist judge who was the author of Dred Scott. He's a self-hating .... I can't say it, but I hope you understand what I mean ![]() All is not lost. IF Dems get out the vote this fall, and can hold the Congress and elect Fetterman and Ryan in Ohio can win, they can null and void the man from WV and the woman from Az who are playing president. Don't forget about treasonous Ron Johnson whose up to his beady, dumb eyeballs in treason, racism and fake electors in WI. That makes 3 senators who could make the difference in Dems getting rid of the filibuster and if that happens ... It's on like donkey kong... Believe me, I can be as negative as all get out. My late parents KNEW slaves and they told me what they told them about their hideous and near murdous treatment by these plantation owners who owned them as slaves, and what my parents told me that they told them still haunts me some night when I try to sleep. But for some reason, I feel hopeful as the hours has passed. It's sad that women in RED states with NO exception of the life laws for the Mother that force women/little girls to have a rapists or father's baby will self-abort and could possibly end up dying because they don't have money to travel to a blue state to have an abortion. But like I said, I feel hopeful. |

9. It's all of a piece, and anyhow the ruling takes nothing away from the 1/6 hearings.
First, we knew this was coming; it just was a matter of when. We were outraged when the opinion leaked and we're still outraged, but nothing has changed. Nobody in their right mind thought the final decision was going to be different.
Also, the 1/6 Committee is on hiatus for a couple of weeks because they have received so much new evidence to process. By the time they start up again the focus will be back on that new evidence. In fact, I'll bet the media will be talking about the 1/6 evidence by next week, now that Dobbs is out. |

10. Yes. At least the ruling didn't come out yesterday, and the hearings continue in July

11. SCOTUS has circled their wagons in a RTump-wise direction...
Like a magician on stage, the Supreme Court has used some serious misdirection to upstage the findings
of the Jan 6 committee... The Court has employed the “dead cat strategy” (During an awkward dinner party conversation, toss a dead cat into the mix. Folks will be outraged, but the subject will successfully be changed). RTump had a knack for producing dead cats whenever he wanted, and the Supreme Court has become one of the RTumpster's kitties... and has overturned Roe v Wade... Organizing against the Court's decision re: Roe... will take time, energy, money, and people power... Organizing to get out the vote, state by state... will take time, energy, money, and people power... Time that will draw attention away from investigation of the RTumpster's attempts to seize absolute power over each and every American citizen. America must not lose sight of what is at stake... America must not be taken in by the opposition's patter. This is not simply legal sleight of hand... It is not a simple matter of women losing their right to choose... Democracy, the rule of law, and the right of each and every American to determine its own destiny is imperiled... |
