Even here in California, I do not feel safe - especially during the QOP's Year of Hate here in 2022. I still encounter attitudes from time to time when I go out shopping. I've had to endure tenants standing outside my door yelling hostile things. And even in states that are overall as good as mine, there are plenty of people willing to say "Fuck the law" and discriminate against us anyway.

I can't imagine how bad things would be right now in a third-world state like Texas or Florida or Idaho.

So, no. Our lives aren't "trendy." We're not being handed "all the rights." We have an entire party devoting their lives to dehumanizing us, while their foot soldiers can't wait to act upon the QOP's words and their own hate. These people won't rest until they erase our lives, while there are people out there who can't wait to harm us.

I would imagine that the results of such a poll 3-4 months from now would be even worse. These are dark, ugly times. Thanks to the fascists who want to "take our country back!"... back to the dark ages.
