Neo-Nazi, white supremacist, racist rally apparently planned for Missoula.
It seems there is a RW plan to do events like this all over the northwest.
I suspect the timing may have to do with the fact that this week Missoula is celebrating the history and contributions of the Buffalo Soldiers who were stationed in the area and are significant to the settling of this region. ******************** David Erickson for The Missoulian Jun 13, 2022 A white supremacist neo-Nazi gathering is apparently planned in Missoula this Saturday, according to posts on right-wing social media platforms, and it's caught the attention of elected officials, law enforcement and anti-hate organizations. Local Jewish leaders are also urging people not to engage with the white supremacists in order to deprive them of the attention they seek.
Miri Cypers, the regional director for the Anti-Defamation League’s Pacific Northwest office, said the organization has been tracking “National Socialist Movement” posts and became aware a few weeks ago about some sort of gathering planned in Missoula for June 18. “The ADL’s Center on Extremism is a group of experts that tracks and investigates extremist activities on certain platforms,” Cypers explained. “They found out that the National Socialist Movement is planning a specific event in Missoula on June 18, which is coinciding with a ‘white lives matter’ June day of activism.” The Missoula County commissioners, the office of Missoula mayor John Engen, the Montana Human Rights Network, the Missoula Har Shalom Jewish congregation and the Missoula Police Department are all tracking rumors of the gathering. https://missoulian.com/news/local/neo-nazi-white-supremacist-racist-rally-apparently-planned-for-missoula/article_5a3d71d0-b4c8-53a4-ad56-e31fe2535e9c.html#tracking-source=mp-homepage

1. After watching on the History channel the documentary Black Patriots Buffalo soldiers
Recently I learned so much but Missoula didn’t treat those soldiers at the base so well. Interesting they are having a celebration honoring the Buffalo soldiers.

2. If they're going to parade in some sort of organized formation, a group of people could stand on
the sidelines and moon them as they pass. I've always regretted not having the opportunity to salute white supremacists that way myself, so I give my idea to others !!

9. :) Yes, but they'd love it. That's attention, and they thrive on hostility.
We moved to a deep red county in GA one of the last two years a KKK group tried to hold an annual parade in our town. A woman at a gathering came up to me specifically to warn me and let me know they all avoided downtown that day of the year. Of course I thanked her and we stayed away, so didn't see their lonely march through empty streets and mostly closed businesses. The next year was the last, and they folded up shop and joined numbers with another small group in another county.
That's the way to do it. Grab a picnic and go skinny dipping in the river that day instead. ![]() |

3. What is you threw a parade and nobody came. That seems the best response to me.

4. Missoula's one of the more liberal cities in Montana as well. The University of Montana is there.

6. Hope the FBI remembers to bring a camera.
Hey, Agent Mike! Pro Tip: Remember to write down the license plates of vehicles in nearby parking lots before the rally ends. Saves staff time.

7. So far it seems this is not sanctioned by the city, no permit for it etc.
That is to say it's being mentioned as if it's like the "event" intended for Coeur d'Alene last week. This "rally" is not expected to be a simple parade or demonstration. All information about it has come from those who officially or otherwise monitor the dark parts of the internet. It is being taken as a serious threat to public order and safety.
All I can say is they better not show up in my neighborhood or they'll be leaving in an ambulance. |
