I've looked for a forum that discusses what types of books, and which ones, folks are reading.

By the way, I'm a fan of post apocalyptic fiction:
"What is Post-Apocalyptic Fiction?
Post-apocalyptic fiction focuses on what happens after an apocalyptic event. It is concerned with how people survive in the new world when most people have been killed off, and all familiar infrastructure has been destroyed. It may be set immediately after, or many years after the apocalypse."
