Governor Christie - Join the Democrats!

You won't have to put up with teabilly nonsense, you won't have to take positions against working people, you can let your good common sense and your heart be your guide instead of the dictates of plutocrats.

Anyone else think this might be in the cards?

I for one feel this party could use some good old Jersey attitude - on OUR side!

Unless he gets an enormous backlash from republicans, and I doubt that will happen but with those whackos you never know. Nothing surprises me anymore.

That's why he is making nice with Obama, he wants to show America he's not afraid to work with the other side.

I think deep down he wants Obama to win, so he can run in 2016. Remember his keynote speech at the RNC; he didn't have a lot to say about Rmoney, but he sure did have a lot to say about himself.

with them and pull the Dem Party even further to the Right. And they leave the other Party to the extremists.

We need more PROGRESSIVES in the Dem Party.

We also need moderates in the Republican Party.

He is a Republican. Granted he is one who appears to be able to put the country before party politics in an emergency. That should be the norm for both parties.

But he is still a Republican and the Dem Party badly needs to move to the Left, not the Right.

better than 90 percent chance of this eventually. A reverse Connally. I actually predicted long ago in the next 4 years this will happen, and eventually after his complete conversion, will be on a ticket. He plays well with working class types, and if we could get him and convert him, he would be gold. Of course that is only if he truly repents and converts, which I think there are enough Libertarian type of Democrats for him to be welcomed. The man may have saved POTUS's Presidency. He has no future as a Pub, so he has to switch.

The only way it would benefit us is if it tipped the balance in one of the congressional chambers toward Democrats. Christie would do much more for the country if he were to stand up as a role model for the pukes who have been obstructionists.

But I still think Christie is an opportunist & he'll only flip if he thinks he can gain something by it. For now, he's the still 1 of the best bets for the GOP in 2016 so he won't be flipping any time soon.

Chris Christie is very much anti-union, and anti-marriage equality. We don't need that in our party.

Sure, he's putting politics aside now, but that's what any decent politician(Democrat or Republican) would do in a time of crisis. Although in Christie's case I think he's doing it for his own political gain -- he thinks it will make him look good when he no doubt runs in 2016.

One thing I do like about him though is that he doesn't beat around the bush. He tells it like it is(or how he thinks it is, anyway). Too bad he's dead wrong most of the time.

I appreciate what appears to be a genuine concern for the wellbeing of his state's residents mixed in with what is most likely political advantage to his favor (in both the upcoming governor's race as well as a potential 2016 presidental run), but I want no part of his style of bully politics.
