General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsWe're running out of bad guys to wite parody songs/videos about. Anyone with any favorites?
We're trumped out--since "Wasting Away in Mar-a-Lagoville" and "Dumb Down," three years ago, we must have done five or ten shredding him alone. We have done global warming, Roger Stone, McTurtle, the Senate Republicans, Cruz, the party of NO, Pillow Man, Marge Toilet Groan, Putin (so far just once, and just WAIT for round two!!). Meadows and Rubio are in production. Gun deaths just aren't funny, so don't ask. We're not going there.
Boebert doesn't deserve her own. Cotton, Hawley and Gaetz got dishonorable mention in "No Business Like NO Business." We've done parodies of Rock, Calypso, Gilbert & Sullivan, Soft Rock, a Broadway show tune (just one, we're not Randy Rainbow), Country & Western, Simon & Garfunkel, Aretha, Irish Folk, and I don't know what else. Interest has varied, from a few hundred views to nearly half a million, depending in timing and subject matter. A couple of the Parody Project's solo numbers have gone over a million.
For the Guardian in the UK, we even did a parody of an old English sea shanty, but that was at their request, and it was about one of their politicians that nearly no one in the USA was familiar with. He joined the dearly departed, and they appropriately took it down from their home page.
So many right wing whackos, so little time. Looking for hay in a needle stack.
By the way, for anyone both unfamiliar with, and curious about The Freedom Toast and/or The Parody Project, links on request!

But we aren't interested in giving someone like Gym Jordan the satisfaction of thinking he merited special attention. Just because they merit getting a bath in liquid nitrogen, doesn't mean they merit their own song.

We started about 16 years ago with these:
Ten years later, we were here:
