Question: What will happen in Congress after the J-6 Hearings are completed?

I believe things will be handed off to the Attorney General but.....

Will Congress vote on something? It's not an Impeachment....so what action would one anticipate after the hearings conclude???

It doesn't have to be too comprehensive... but Congress' investigatory powers are on firmer footing if they actually use the investigation to craft related legislation.

I do not think this is the end of the Committee? This is only a report to the public of what they have discovered thus far.

They may send referrals to the DOJ? Regardless, it looks like the DOJ is somewhat focused on what happened on January 6th. Many are still suspicious as to why Meadows and Scavino were not indicted? Surely, if Meadows is not indicted, then Trump will never be indicted.

What will happen in Congress? I think the investigation will become much more serious in Congress and with the American people after these hearings.

For me, just getting the hearing done/ set up is where my focus was ....not actually looking at the total big picture....Yea, one step at a time...

I now sense that this will morph in Congress with looking at the sedition aspect of tRump and his Congressional minions...

They're STILL not done. The committee is still conducting interviews. They will submit an interim report this month (unless that is getting pushed back), and then a final report in September.

There's a lot of information here: United States House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack

It has better information than any other source I've found. Very comprehensive without opinionated bullshit.

i am sure they will turn it all over to doj, and likely recommend prosecution.

i also think they will propose legislation clarifying a lot of things.
that a sitting president can be prosecuted.
that the electoral college should be scrapped.
that the presidential records act is not a suggestion.
narrowing of executive privilege.
perhaps even, gasp, campaign finance reforms.
