Oregon Progressive McLeod-Skinner ahead of Blue Dog Kurt Schrader

Dave Wasserman
@Redistrict
In #OR05, progressive Jamie McLeod-Skinner (D) carrying Deschutes Co. (Bend) 70%-30% over Rep. Kurt Schrader (D). Looking very grim for the incumbent Blue Dog.

4. And with the increasing possibility of Dems keeping the house and Senate

5. Jamie McLeod-Skinner got 3 votes out of my household. I'm so sick of

Schrader and his Blue Dog votes.

6. I'm glad she's winning

I voted for her when she ran in my area. Just too conservative in the south she needed to go north.

7. Good! She's a strong liberal progressive Democrat with a very impressive resume.

We might have moved there and would be voting for her. No taint of anti-Democratic or anti-democratic populist attitudes or extremism.

The national party virtually always supports the incumbent who was sent to congress by the constituents for reelection, so supporting incumbent blue-dog Schrader was baked in and no comment on her. Our house caucus will be glad to get her.

Latest: 61.3% to 38.7% with 55% of the vote counted.
