(2,117 posts)WTF? I have no training in business or finance, but even I know his idea is a logistical trainwreck. It is financially irresponsible to spend money on both purchasing AND transporting goods when the money can be sent electronically to the places required and the transportation costs are thus drastically reduced. Anyone who actually thinks about this will realize he just wants his photo-op.

Cash donations are what is needed. It can be instantly wire-transfered to the disaster area. It then can be used to buy necessary items there, or distributed directly to victims.
