1. why didn't we see soldiers running from the tanks?
What are these guys thinking? Surely they must know they're up next?!
It was amazing to see the precision with which the Ukrainians did this. When they were driving through the neighborhood, I was thinking that if I looked out my back window and saw some tanks in a long line, I would think, "The nerve of you, driving down my street!" |

2. These poor Russians are starting to seem like sitting ducks.
In their last century type lumbering weapons.
Why don’t they just stop? |

4. That's a good question. And can the tanks go backwards? Because if they could and I was
in one I'd put it in reverse!

5. Putin himself will not stop and won't let his underlings.
I am glad he is destroying the rusci army and economy.
I do feel for the poor ignorant rusci conscripts. |

3. do they face dieing by missle
or dieing by leaving their tanks?
Not much of a choice. |

6. As a former tanker, I can tell you that there's no real choice
between staying in the tank and bailing out.
It’s not just because of our tongue-in-cheek motto: “Death Before Dismount.” Going out instantaneously through a direct hit to the tank vs. facing small-arms fire and artillery shrapnel on the ground is a no-brainer for tankers. To paraphrase the guy from “Apocalypse Now”: ‘Never get off the boat’; “Never get off the tank.” |

8. It's clear now that tanks are an obsolete military technology.
So are aircraft carriers, which is terrifying World War III stuff.
It's difficult to watch Russia falling apart. A wounded animal is dangerous. |

11. Tell it to the guys in those tanks.
I don't want to be proven correct in my other assertions.
