SCOTUS will overturn any debt relief even if Biden orders it

Both Biden and Pelosi have previously gone on the record as saying he doesn't have the authority to cancel student loan debt:

Obama's former top lawyer on education matters said the same thing:

Anyone who is expecting 6 hyper-conservative Justices to go along with this is living in dreamland. So it seems like a lot of wasted energy to even talk about it.

1. I thought congress gave President Biden leeway in doing so . . .

If the 6 GQP justices overturns it, at least Pres Biden tried, although some school debts have been taken care of.

Those GQP justices are extremely partisan.

2. I wouldn't go as far as calling them

"justices". They're politicians/self ordained priests.

3. Others, including Warren and Sanders, say he does have the authority

Iíll take your conservative WSJ and Forbes sources with a grain of salt.

4. Joe should do it asap. It'll take months, maybe longer...

for any challenge to get to SCOTUS ruling on student loan debt relief.

Do it asap. Save the GenXers and Millennials months of loan payments. Give them some help.

5. Then he should do it

and make the Republican-packed courts be the bad guys. If Dems are any good at messaging, or even just not terrible at it, they'll be able to use that.

6. I'm thinking they

are considering the backsplash. Could it turn others away from voting?

7. But he does to not collect it. Keep doing that and it becomes de facto

Over time
