The shot I refer to is the long shot on the 3rd row of shots. I has no idea how far up it is.

Further, if this crane segment and the counterweight now on the same side of the crane tower snap loose, they could plunge into the street below, causing a gas line explosion. It would look like a disaster film.
Yes, I still have power, but I have no idea for how long. The intense part of the winds (without letup or pause) started about a half hour ago.

(12,704 posts)storm, I wonder if the builders will be liable for not securing the crane or better yet dismantling it before the storm since it is so high up?

(25,183 posts)No problems for me, or friends/family that we've been able to contact (other than a few with power out) I think we got pretty lucky here. I wish all the very best for the folks out there who can't say that.
