right alongside Ryan Reynolds. But years earlier than him. I guess this means I could go around saying "Ryan Reynolds is the white Will Smith", but most people would probably just be confused.

14. I care only because I grew up watching Chris and Will during the 90's as
a kid and then a teenager. I'm not too old yet at 38 but it is a mind fuck for me seeing two iconic figures I grew up watching in the entertainment field go at it that I would never suspect having a beef.

They knew where & how to grab the most free & broad headline attention.
They're actors. They know that drama medium better than anyone. Celebrities stagers use events like major Awards ceremonies or The Met to advertize & elevate their own celebrity brand also. $$$$ |

I can’t help it. It’s driven into me, having spent most of my career covering Hollywood in one way or another. If you live in LA it kinda goes with the territory in the news biz anyway. But then I spent years at the AP specifically on the Hollywood beat. So it’s still kind of a “thing” for me. |
