Given how far in advance these suits had to be made, a less palatable scenario is likely. Honestly, I feel a bit sorry for the cosmonauts. They are scientists and professionals, not political props. They do not get to choose what they wear, so either way they're being used to make someone's political statement regardless of their own views. If they wish to present the colors as pro-Ukraine in order to put best foot forward, good for them, but they shouldn't have been put in this position. Just think how these colors would have looked if things had gone Putin's way.
