1. It is extremely hard, but I find myself in that position all the time in my red state.

I have tried the "get in their face" route to no avail. Now, if the opportunity presents itself, I simply smile and say that the facts don't back up their position nor their beliefs. If they ask questions, I will answer. Otherwise, I just let it go.

The willfully ignorant are not open to reason or common sense.

IQ. Some people are just F'en stupid. They are low information voters, proud of their stupidity and vote for those that will most destroy their lives.

I just have absolutely no use for republicans anymore. The good ones for the most part have disappeared and now savage beasts run and are in the republican party.

Just WTF is wrong with the "working stiffs" that can't get it through their heads what is going on. I was trying to explain to a republican what outsourcing was all about aways back. They just couldn't comprehend it ... just unbelievable ... they said only democrats would do this, never republicans. I just give up, I really do.

silent and compliant when they are spewing their hate. I am often criticized here for my harsh feelings about Republicans and what I would NOT do to help them. But when I hear them telling me that I am not allowed to exist or have an opinion and that they want to TAKE AWAY things that I have rightfully paid for and earned I have had it.

We are going to have to draw the line somewhere because when they come on your turf after you just smiling and walking away will no longer be an option. They are like a stalker who will not leave you alone. And I am convinced that that is where the present GOP is going. THEY ARE JUST GOING TO PURSUE YOU EVENTUALLY.
