I just don't think Putin would launch nukes. I think he would use it to try to build stronger nationalistic support in Russia.
Going nuclear over something like this just doesn't make sense.
I almost think if NATO gave him a 5 hour warning that he would back-track. And maybe they could do it behind the scenes so he could react without the world knowing why.

If Putin would start a nuclear war over Ukraine, then he may have already decided to start a nuclear war -in which case intervening in Ukraine would be the best option.
