Manchin and Sinema's dumb argument about

The filibuster leading to bipartisanship and compromise. I contend that having the filibuster leads to more partisanship and not compromising because the minority knows that they donít have to and can hold up legislation. Getting rid of the filibuster incentivized the minority to compromise so that they can at least try to shape a bill that will get passed anyway.

1. But without the filibuster the majority doesn't even need the minority. Think of the bills...

the Republicans could have passed under Trump without the Democrats able to block them using the filibuster.

If there had been no filibuster you think the Republicans would have been "open to compromise"?
