The town that built back green

Is about Greensburg, Ks and how a EF5 tornado demolished the town in 2020. This tornado killed 13 people n injured 60+ others in a town of about 900. They vowed to build back but in a most progressive way in a very conservative town. I googled this information as there are many articles about what happened. How they approached the green idea n how some left but others are still there..thru trial n error but lessons learned well. Every time I hear of these tornadoes, I think about this town n how they decided to work w/ nature. Many great articles from the WaPo, National Geographic and others. Hope it’s uplifting as we try to comprehend this disaster.

Google says May 4, 2007.

Have always wondered ho they rebuilt or if they did.

They started building after much debate n some packed up n left. I think about this small town that lost everything n tried something new n now they’re being asked just how n why.

It was 2007 when Greensburg was hit by an EF5 tornado, I was there a few days later on a relief crew. I've been retired since 2018.

To focus on greenstyle. That place was wiped out. I worked a relief crew for a week there, it was a trip.
