5. This brought to mind...I couldn't even watch a debate at age 8..there were no televisions

in most people's homes. I was over 12 years old before we got one.

13. Meh. My 3-year-old can explain what a "habitat" is.

She also knows "tenebrific." As in "I need to wash my sunglasses, it's tenebrific."

Parents are odd creatures.

19. My 5 year old grandson and

he know quite a few multisyllable words, their definitions, and how to use them. I don't know how many times I've come upon him sitting in the corner reading through the pages of the big dictionary.
