The "liberal" media should ask Sinema
what is her stance on the filibuster if Roe is overturned. We might hear an interesting answer

1. Nah, she'll just blather the same crap about bipartisanship as usual
Nothing interesting new will be said, just her typical deflections which allow her to avoid saying she really doesn't give a shit.

2. Does she really reply in any meaningful way to anyone other than her major donors?
The same for Manchin I suppose.

3. Why would a DU member want for someone to ask any Democrat a "gotcha" question?
Isn't this site supposed to support Democrats (and yes Sinema is one)?

4. She Ought To Be Able To Answer A Flat Yes, Sir
And if she doesn't, that's a problem.

5. Maybe so, but I still don't want anybody to ask any Democrat a gotcha question.
It does not matter who asks the question or the goal they are trying to achieve. In addition, even if we don't like her response there isn't anything that can be done until the next primary when she is one of the candidates. At that point, the question is appropriate; however, at this juncture of time I don't see the point of putting her on the spot and what it will accomplish other than to further alienate her whether her response (or lack thereof) is a problem or not.
Sinema's vote may be needed sometime in the future on an issue that hasn't even developed, so punishing her by making her sit on a stool in the corner facing the wall achieves nothing except for the immediate gratification of those who have designated her as a target. |

7. Thanks, but I am completely familiar with the TOS for this site since I have served as a forum host
and a member of MIRT. Even though you may be unaware of those facts, I think the fact that I have nearly 90,000 posts and have been here for over 10 years should indicate that I have a firm grasp of how this site works.
I also don't see what anyone wants to accomplish by attacking Manchin and Sinema, just as you may not see what people want to accomplish by attacking Sanders or AOC. |

8. So am I wrong or does the site support those that caucus with us?
And with that resume, this is practically your job, huh?
