Thousands of American service members are facing disciplinary action up to dismissal if they are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Monday.
With vaccination deadlines looming, the two top Marines pleaded with the troops.
"We need every single Marine in the unit to be vaccinated," said General David Berger, U.S. Marine Corps Commandant. "We don't have extra Marines."
With 91% fully vaccinated, the Marines are on track to have the worst record of all the services.

(2,170 posts)Like has been said many times before, in boot you get all kinds of shots. I guess this is just a political temper tantrum. Hope they get a general discharge at best.

(46,961 posts)before they travel, why can't the big strong marines get them too?
Military brats who are dragged around the world with their military parents have long been human pincushions in terms of vaccines. I can well imagine what the brats have to say about troops who are too scared to get shots.

(146,288 posts)Get vaccinated or get separated. Administrative separations are not difficult. Just give the refusers their walking papers and show them off whatever base they're on.
I guarantee that those not accepting vaccinations are people we don't want in the military anyhow. Almost all will be trumpers. Get rid of them, and good riddance at that.
