Walmart CEO Credits Biden with Supply Chain Improvement after Weeks of Conservative Hysteria

Walmart CEO Credits Biden with Supply Chain Improvement after Weeks of Conservative Hysteria

"SNIP......

President Joe Biden's administration took action to combat these issues, such as expanding the Port of Los Angeles' hours to 24/7, securing commitments from top importers to expedite shipping container removal, and signing off on 100 day reviews of vulnerabilities in the supply chain.

That didn't stop conservative pundits and lawmakers from seizing upon this vulnerability. Former presidential counsellor Kellyanne Conway falsely claimed there were no supply chain issues under Trump. Conservative talk show hosts like Fox News' Laura Ingraham painted Biden as a grinch who ruined Christmas—weeks before the Christmas season even began.

While there are still obstacles in getting the global supply chain back to its former efficiency, the specter of late gifts and barren shelves presented by conservatives is at odds with recent comments made by Doug McMillon, the CEO of Walmart—the country's largest importer last year.

........

In comments to MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle, McMillon said:

"The combination of private enterprise and government working together has been really successful. We've had a lot of participation, been able to participate in solving some of these congestion issues, so I would like to give the administration credit for helping do things like get the ports open 24 hours a day, to open up some of the trucking lines, ... and then all the way through the supply chain there's been a lot of innovation ... Each month of the quarter got stronger. The number of containers that we're moving through the ports has grown significantly."

They're immersed in their own little world with 24/7 right wing propaganda which will never, ever give President Biden's administration credit for anything.

has been full on Chicken Little! Inflation and supply shortages are a "gold mine" to them(but did any of type GOP ever do anything to help instead of just complain about the problem?!)

Once you see GOP's schtick you get it. They always run on Dem bashing, but never have concrete solutions for improving American lives(except "tax cuts" and "religious freedom" and "pro-life&quot . They are the empty suit party.

them a home or even cover health care or college for their children. How much longer did our oligarchs expect the people to keep working for not enough pay? It was collapsing before the pandemic, look back at all the money that was being pumped into the economy in the fall of 2019. before the pandemic when the Fed pumped even more money into Wall Street and Banks in 2020.

They hate it when Democrats fix stuff. Especially when the Republicans were no help at all. That's kind of all the time, though, isn't it?
