3. Which just made him a better person than my governor
Parson in Missouri likes capital punishment.

4. good but...
"As a condition of granting clemency, Stitt ordered that Jones shall never be eligible to apply for or be considered for a commutation, pardon, or parole for the rest of his life."

9. Really? It doesn't have to go through the Governor's office?
That would be a miracle.

10. No, it can go through the courts
The governor is banning the release options he has through that office, but he can continue to make appeals, especially if there is new evidence.

5. He deserves it, his family deserves it, his long-term supporters deserve this so richly!
I can't wait to watch Joy tonight! She had his mother on last night and she nearly broke down. I did.
In Julius' recorded interview with a journalist, he sobbed and apologized to his family for being "a bad kid" and thanked them and assured them that he never killed anyone. |

15. Yes!
I too broke down, could not hold back the tears hearing him last night on Joy.

11. I'm happy and relieved but stunned
I didn't think Stitt would have the courage to do the right thing. The family of the victim and RWers were pushing hard for an execution. It's not a release but he is spared death and the fight can continue.
