Five teens transported to hospital following shooting at Aurora park, police say

Five teens were transported to the hospital Monday following a shooting at an Aurora park near a high school, police said.

The shooting occurred at Nome Park, at 12th Avenue and Nome Street, police said on Twitter.

“There are multiple people shot,” police said in an initial tweet.

It’s not yet clear how many people were shot, however. Aurora police said in a follow-up tweet that five teens ranging in age from 14 to 17 were taken to a hospital, but didn’t specify that they’d been shot.

I'm not big on initial eyewitness statements, but the witnesses I have seen say a car drove up near the group of kids who were hanging in the park and let go of about 30 rounds. Press conference soon (5 pm EST).

A single shooter (or shooter and driver pair).

And now Rittenhouse's pet judge dismissed the misdemeanor gun charge because the gun is "too big" to fit in the statute.
