The ACTUAL reason Glenn Youngkin won in Virginia...

It's the Tale of the Tape

First and foremost, in a male dominance hierarchy height is the most prominent marker:

Glenn Younkin --- 6' 5", some claim he's 6' 7"

Terry McAuliffe --- 6' 0"

There you have it.

I'll wait here for the big money Cable TV Political Pundit offers to start rolling in.

But to get the gig you'll have to swear to never utter a word of factual truth.

Yeah, that's it.

He won because the Virginia GOP picked him via a Convention, not a primary. They knew that if they had a primary, the most rabid trumper would win, and almost certainly would lose in the general.

outside the DU bubble that McAuliffe couldn't really go after Youngkin's hedge fund mogul-y-ness because McAuliffe is an investor himself into said hedge fund. See, they boxed him in, so he couldn't tack to the left, and go all populist, decrying how Youngkin is just there to siphon off YOUR tax dollars into HIS pockets! QED.

Ya gotta follow the money, right?

As shallow as that sounds.

Plus Yougkin is 54 years old, McAuliffe 64.

Sure, I'm joking but you never know how much appearance makes a favorable initial impression.
