Does anyone remember the Who Concert at Riverfront in Cincinnati in 1979? The attendees in the front were pushed forward with fatalities.

(2,220 posts)I think it was a crowd surge to get into the venue, not during the show.
I was supposed to be at that concert but broke up with the racist asshole who invited me about five days earlier..after I learned he was a racist asshole. Might have saved my life.

They had 2 banks of eight doors each and only opened two single doors.

(10,788 posts)Not as many injuries or fatalities, but the same GA stage crush. I was about 30 feet back and felt myself getting lifted off the ground a couple times. Completely unaware of what was happening at the front.

(21,646 posts)The Who concert 11 dead and they played the next night . I dont know the circumstances it was a blurp about crowd crushing just surprised from my 2021 perspective that they played the next night

The wiki in the OP said they played that same night actually and were not made aware until after the concert ended and played another town the next night
