That is what it's about, isn't it? Making it a "War on women" is a way to skirt the issue of women's rights.

"What women may not know is that the term "left handed Irishman" is often used in a a derogatory context. In gaelic, the term is, in its most damning connotation, "citog" means stupid. Less severe, the term "cloot" means awkward, as in I can't work with you.

So in comparing women to left-handed Irishmen, is Paul Ryan saying they are stupid, or that he can't work with them?" From the Daily Kos
