Yesterday, Romney gained a point on LVs and lost one in RVs. Today, he gained one in RVs and lost one in LVs. I think both their methodology and LV screen are screwy, but I'm not sure which is worst.

If Obama lost the popular vote but won the electoral vote it could lead to the end of the Electoral College. That would be a GOOD thing!

Andrew Jackson won the popular vote but lost the election to John Quincy Adams (1824); Samuel J. Tilden won the popular vote but lost the election to Rutherford B. Hayes (1876); Grover Cleveland won the popular vote but lost the election to Benjamin Harrison (1888); Al Gore won the popular vote but lost the election to George W. Bush (2000).

Currently the Electoral College works to the advantage of the Republican Party and to the disadvantage of our country. If the GOP gets hurt by it then both parties will be against it, and we can get rid of it.

Regarding the gallup pole......For those of you who have not caught up with the daily kos... Look at a post there approx 2 3 days ago. When the areas of the US are broken down to north south east and midwest, the only lead r&r have is in the south!! It's by 22 points. States they will win anyway, yes maybe fl too, but that tells us why their national lead is really slimmer than it will be in the end. The average puts the repubs up.. It won't matter. REMEMBER that naughty electoral college!!
