3. In the lower right of the tweet there's an icon with a shallow U and arrow pointing up

the tooltip (when you hover, if you're using a mouse) says 'Share'.
Click, then choose 'Copy Link to Tweet'. Then go to a DU message and Paste (ctrl-v), and post  |
