JOBS COMING BACK TO THE USA!!!

Email from a friend.

Here’s the exciting thing: Carhartt is releasing a new “Made in America” line of clothing that is all designed in Michigan and produced in their union Tennessee and Kentucky plants. I think it’s important that when a company brings manufacturing back to America that we encourage that, even if a hundred percent of their line isn’t made here. By positively reinforcing, shopping that new line, etc, hopefully we can convince Carhartt and many other companies that Americans WANT to buy American, and that it can be profitable for them to manufacture things here. Since most Americans companies don’t manufacture anything at all here, it seems like we’re really shooting ourselves in the foot if we don’t give positive encouragement to the ones that are.

My husband and son are construction workers, working outdoors in all kinds of weather, and Carhartt has always been their preference. Good to know they're bringing back some manufacturing to the U.S.

Living in farm country Carhartt is all I ever wear. And since they exported their manufacturing their quality has suffered a lot. I was in the process of finding a new clothing manufacturer in the near future. Don't need to now. Yea, good news.

Carhartt made a good decision here.

Thanks for posting this Steve.

I'm happy these things are coming back, but Jesus Christ, maybe they should have thought of this before they left.

I'll be glad to see the union-made tag back in those Carhartts. I teared up when I saw the UFCW nod. GODDAMMIT!

I have some of their pants and they're great. All the pants I have are made in Mexico, but they don't suffer any quality issues. After looking at this video I'm looking forward to getting some of the US made pants.

What I really prefer are my Roundhouse overalls. They are made in the US, just as they have been for over 100 years.
