Obama's post-debate day: Iowa, Ohio

9:03AM EDT October 17. 2012 - Good morning from The Oval, as President Obama follows up Tuesday night's debate with visits to colleges in a pair of big swing states: Iowa and Ohio.

Read up on the second debate with Republican Mitt Romney -- including a more aggressive Obama -- at the USA TODAY website.

Obama, meanwhile, flies this morning to Iowa for a rally at Cornell College in Mt. Vernon.

Another college is on tap late this afternoon, as Obama speaks at Ohio University in Athens.

"President Obama will highlight the clearest choice Americans have faced in a generation, the choice between building our economy from the middle-out, or returning to top-down economics that failed Iowa and Ohio families in the past," says the Obama campaign.

He will be energized.
