15. That should speed up the vaccination process for those who want the vaccine and are shut-ins.

.

They won't waste their time or face a hostile exchange with a QAnoner.

No reason to ever bother interacting with them, covid or not.

4. Not sure how serious the idea of door-to-door solicitation is, but I'd drop it.

Iím vaccinated, but no one can convince these fools. And itís likely dangerous.

Just in case.

7. Have the work done by the Census Bureau.

Census workers can't be charged with tresspassing.

9. As a practical matter, you are correct.

But even threatening a Census worker is illegal and will get you a visit from the police.

If you can't tell, I've been a Census worker. They did tell us not to put ourselves in any danger and use common sense, but to report places we could not gain access to. Supervisors handled it from there. I don't know what they did.

18. My 68 year old brother was thinking about doing Census work last year.

I suggested that would be good if he could get office, tabulation type work. Heís in an area that went close to 80% for trump. He could probably pull it off by appearance and demeanor, but why chance itís with these MFers?

19. I did it back in '09. I was younger then,

I will be 68 in a few weeks. It is a very physically demanding job. We were actually doing pre-Census mapping work that required knocking on every door in an area. Lots of hills here, and lots of steps to get to doors. I was probably walking 5-10 miles a day. I was between jobs and thought it would be a good way to get in shape. It was.

No way would I try to do it now. Also, you better be prepared for some confrontations with some big dogs. I know a bit about dog training, so I did okay, but I had to back pit bulls away from me a number of times. The Census doesn't allow you to carry pepper spray or any other defensive weapons.

23. Yeah, he and I learned the rural dogs danger early on. It's not an easy job,

even in areas where people recognize the census is important.

20. That sign carries as much legal weight

as those "right to breathe" cards the anti-maskers tried.

21. They are making it easier and more efficient for the solicitors. One reason I put up extra blood

drive signs at my registration station inside places with a lot of foot traffic was to let people that wanted nothing to do with it see what I was up to. They would give me a wide berth and avoid eye contact. I would usually talk to anyone coming close that looked interested. Sometimes it would just be someone wondering what I was doing if my signs weren't clearly visible all around. No need wasting time on someone that will not donate.

28. The people going door-to-door should leave a sympathy card because it's only

a matter of time before the fool is gasping for their last breath in the ICU. As Mel might say, "I really don't care. Do you?"
