According to a court document shared by BuzzFeed's Zoe Tillman, Chansley "has not proffered any new information that has a 'material bearing' on whether or not he poses a risk if released.

FOX 10's Jennifer Martinez interviewed the mother of Jacob Chansley, otherwise known as Jake Angeli or 'QAnon Shaman' after he was arrested during a riot at the US Capitol on Jan. 6.

Here's a better description, mother: DANGEROUSLY STUPID!

(6,178 posts)Breaking into the Capitol and declaring himself a "Shaman".... I would say he likely missed some important counseling sessions in his past. Since when does Democracy and the U.S. Constitution require a "shaman" to interfere with the legislative process.
According to the Oxford dictionary:
a person regarded as having access to, and influence in, the world of good and evil spirits, especially among some peoples of northern Asia and North America. Typically such people enter a trance state during a ritual and practice divination and healing.
This hardly describes the horn-wearing individual standing behind the Speakers desk.
Finally, anyone who supports the Grifter / CONman TFG demonstrates their own inability to be discerning in their decision-making process.

Where's even an implied judicial proceeding?
Funny stuff.
Now you point out where I suggested killing a DUer or "condemned" one for anything.
I don't find the humor some do over insurrection. And grave dancing and enjoyment of speculating death on other people is a questionable pursuit.
I post continually against the death penalty. Ethel and Julius Goldberg's executions are a disgrace the US will never live down.
Mr. Ected
(9,670 posts)I am also a lifelong opponent of the death penalty. I'm still wavering as to whether an actual case of treason, as defined by the Constitution, would be the only instance in which I would stand in favor of it. Based solely on news reporting, none of the insurrectionists committed treason (and neither did Trump, for that matter). No one should die at the hand of the state as a result of their actions on or before 1/6/2021. My suggestion otherwise was inflammatory and emanated from my disgust and intolerance of who they are, what they stand for, and the slow grind of a justice system that requires that all of us watch them as they misdirect and lie and in some cases profit from their treachery.
I'm impatient. I overreached. I am sorry.
