Wealthy people can be so tone deaf.

So Ari is interviewing Wolfgang Puck. Puck just is reopening his restaurants post pandemic and complaining he can't find enough waiters and chefs for one of his high end restaurant in Beverly Hills ( Spago).

He said he can't open for lunch because those chefs went to work for private people after he laid them off at the start of the pandemic.

He says they are now making more money and working less to which Ari Melber replies Spago is very expensive ( probably hinting Puck could pay them more), Puck laughs it off.

You would think a businessman would know the answer is pay your staff a competitive salary .

..."gig" work that pays "Ok", and decreased immigration, there is a legitimate shortage of working people willing to work crappy jobs. It has zip to do with COVID payments.

So either pay more you sniffling fuckwad (Puck) or go out of business.

I can imagine that experienced cooks and chefs might expect a lot more than that from Mr. Puck.

Or suddenly closing because they don't have enough staff for the next shift.

So they don't have much choice but to pay.
I wonder if they'll cut that right down to minimum wage again once the labor shortage is gone.

He did talk about people needing health insurance, though.
