It shocks me how one can write these articles without the words "foreign," "organized crime," or "money laundering" even once.
If you write something like "Some people familiar with financial issue prosecutions say many suspects do not want to go to prison," that's not helpful.
"The question is *whose money is laundered through Trump's buildings.* And we mostly know who. THAT'S why they won't flip.
And one of the reasons a foreign-owned Mobster ended up in the White House is that the U.S. media kept reframing every story so that the foreign intelligence and transnational organized crime were cropped out.
Well. It's still the real story. Some of us will tell it."

"The GOP's 60 year War on the News Media was a resounding success.
It/they were right to fear the money and power of The Preachers & Plutocrats, which included several of the small bunch who own/ed large parts of the MSM.
Producers & reporters knew very well which stories might advance their careers and which might kill them.
One of those stories to avoid was talking about exactly the false, hypocritical "neutrality", which meant "Don't stir up the Right"
Things changed only as maintaining the pretense cost more than haltingly adding Reality"

When the story's about a Republican, one half-assed false-on-its-face denial is sufficient to put any matter to rest.

So they are hesitant about labeling it was it is.

That exposing the whole thing will come to be seen as too disruptive to the whole system. Therefore they're going to bury it in plain sight while revealing as little as possible.

I must have missed the plethora of stories where the suspects wanted to go to prison
