BREAKING NEWS: Donald Trump Spoke Directly to Stop the Steal Leader Alex Jones on Insurrection Day

This is the closest anyone has put Trump to the January 6 insurrectionists so far. Emerging evidence suggests that we'll get closer still. *RT widely*.

Jones's confession raises the stakes significantly for the under-review possibility that—based on photo analyses—Jones's lieutenant Owen Shroyer may have been inside Trump's ops center on January 6.

Former O.C. police chief, five others indicted on Capitol riot conspiracy charges

Two Orange County extremists — a former police chief and his partner in organizing Stop the Steal rallies — have been indicted along with members of the Three Percenters militia for their roles in the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection.

Alan Hostetter, former chief of the La Habra police department, faces charges along with fellow Californians Russell Taylor, Erik Scott Warner, Felipe Antonio “Tony” Martinez, Derek Kinnison and Ronald Mele on multiple counts.

Though all are charged with being in restricted areas of the Capitol, Warner, a registered nurse, is the sole indictee to be accused of entering the building, via a broken window. Kinnison and Warner are charged with destroying evidence, while Taylor also faces a weapons count for carrying a knife with a blade longer than 3 inches.

The grand jury indictment, unsealed Thursday, alleges the men conspired on social media prior to the riot — including on a Telegram channel dubbed California Patriots - Answer the Call Jan. 6 and via text messages — creating travel plans that included discussion of bringing weapons to the Capitol. On the day of the riot, they breached off-limits areas of the Capitol and encouraged others to do so as well, posting videos and pictures as they went, the indictment says.

Former Assistant FBI Director Suggests Congressmen, Trump Officials Should Be Arrested for Capitol Riot

Frank Figuilizzi, who served as assistant director for FBI Counterintelligence under Obama, said Tuesday that members of Congress as well as certain Trump administration officials might need to be arrested in order to prevent a repeat of the January 6 Capitol riot.

“Arresting low-level operatives is merely a speed bump, not a roadblock. In order to really tackle terrorism — and this time domestically — you’ve got to attack and dismantle the command-and-control element of a terrorist group. And unfortunately, and I know this is painful to hear, that may mean people sitting in Congress right now, people in and around the former president. That’s how you do this. Otherwise recruitment, inciting, and cult-like leadership continues to recruit people to violence.”

10. Senate report reveals new details about security failures ahead of 1/6 attack but omits Trump's name
Sun Jun 13, 2021, 05:07 PM
Jun 2021

A new Senate report reveals previously unknown details about the stunning security breakdowns ahead of the January 6 US Capitol attack, including a finding that the US Capitol Police's main intelligence unit "was aware of the potential for violence" beforehand.

The report adds an authoritative emphasis to previous evidence that there were massive intelligence failures, critical miscommunications, and unheeded warnings that ultimately led to the chaotic response that day.

Among the failures was an inability by intelligence officials to tie together a swirl of troubling internet chatter leading up to the riot and a reliance on using past, non-violent Trump rallies in security planning.

There are also several glaring omissions in the report including any examination of Donald Trump's role in the riots, raising questions about whether lawmakers, in their quest for bipartisanship, exposed the limits of a Congress divided and unable to agree on certain truths, particularly those related to the former President's actions.

Attorneys have to represent their clients. It just “is.” So some of the arguments used to argue that the January 6th rioters should be released from jail prior to trial can sound ridiculous because they are ridiculous. It is just all the attorneys have.

But William Chrestman, who was arrested in Kansas City with four other Kansas members of the Proud Boys, has a couple of unique arguments, one of which is important and one silly. Pictures from the Capitol riot appear to show Chrestman in tactical gear, wearing a respirator, and carrying a wooden axe handle. He faces multiple charges, including conspiracy, civil disorder, and threatening to assault a federal law enforcement officer. Originally a U.S. magistrate allowed Chrestman to be released. But upon coming before the U.S. District Court judge, the judge said “no,” reversed the order, and put Chrestman back in jail.

That guy?

A decade before prosecutors say Ryan Samsel, of Bristol, was one of the first in a mob of rioters to attack police Jan. 6 outside the U.S. Capitol, he was convicted of smashing a hot pizza in the face of his pregnant girlfriend, pouring beer over her head, and then shoving her into a canal and holding her head under water until she told him she loved him.

Two years before that, he was convicted of holding another woman against her will for five hours and choking her to the point of unconsciousness.

And three years before that, he pleaded guilty to running yet another woman off the road, punching her windshield and threatening to kill her in a dispute over $60.

And just months before his arrest in the Capitol case, Burlington County authorities issued a warrant charging him in a separate matter. This one involving a woman who has accused him of repeatedly breaking into her house — in violation of a restraining order — to rape and choke her until she passed out.

In fact, Samsel has been convicted twice previously in other incidents involving choking women. And in 2007, police investigated an incident in which he leaped into another man’s car and repeatedly punched him in his face until he knocked his front teeth out.

Jun 2021
Pittman's alleged refusal to testify is likely to draw the ire of members of Congress investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection as pressure mounts on the agency to reform. Pittman's tenure has come under increased scrutiny after two Senate committees released a report detailing security failures leading up to and during the attack — particularly in the intelligence division that Pittman had commanded at the time.

The Capitol Police's union called on Pittman to resign after the release of the report, calling on "those most responsible, including Acting Chief Pittman" to "step aside for the good of the department."

Tuesday's hearing, aimed at answering unanswered questions about the insurrection, will also include testimony from top officials involved in the law enforcement and military response on Jan. 6. FBI Director Christopher Wray, General Charles Flynn, and Lt. Gen. Walter Piatt are all set to testify.

Trump supporters organized and attended the January 6 US Capitol insurrection, according to The New York Times, Recode and NBC

Many of the hundreds of people who have been arrested for participating in the January 6 insurrection at the US Capitol building were long-time supporters of former president Donald Trump, according to fact-checkers and reporters. Some of the people who participated in the attacks were named as “unindicted co-conspirators” in Capitol riot indictments and according to legal experts, undercover agents cannot be named as unindicted co-conspirators.

“Our president wants us here.” QAnon, Proud Boys, elected officials, regular Americans: The Capitol rioters had different origins, but one allegiance. Jan 11

Records Show Fervent Trump Fans Fueled US Capitol Takeover
“Big protest in D.C. on January 6th,” Jan 10

They came from across America, summoned by President Donald Trump to march on Washington in support of his false claim that the November election was stolen and to stop the congressional certification of Democrat Joe Biden as the victor.

“Big protest in D.C. on January 6th,” Trump tweeted a week before Christmas. “Be there, will be wild!”

The insurrectionist mob that showed up at the president’s behest and stormed the U.S. Capitol was overwhelmingly made up of longtime Trump supporters, including Republican Party officials, GOP political donors, far-right militants, white supremacists, members of the military and adherents of the QAnon myth that the government is secretly controlled by a cabal of Satan-worshiping pedophile cannibals. Records show that some were heavily armed and included convicted criminals, such as a Florida man recently released from prison for attempted murder.

The Associated Press reviewed social media posts, voter registrations, court files and other public records for more than 120 people either facing criminal charges related to the Jan. 6 unrest or who, going maskless amid the pandemic, were later identified through photographs and videos taken during the melee.

35. GOP Congressman refuses to shake hands with DC police officer Michael Fanone
Thu Jun 17, 2021, 12:11 PM
Jun 2021

A Republican congressman refused to shake hands with a DC police officer beaten by Trump loyalists on January 6, according to 2 House members

Rep. Andrew Clyde, a Georgia Republican who has downplayed the January 6 Capitol riot, refused to shake hands with Michael Fanone, a Washington, DC, police officer who was assaulted by pro-Trump rioters while protecting the Capitol, two members of Congress announced on Wednesday.

Clyde has repeatedly downplayed the events of January 6 and claimed during a hearing last month that many of the rioters behaved like they were on a "normal tourist visit." The congressman also insisted there was "no insurrection," and instead "an undisciplined mob" that included "some rioters" and some who committed vandalism. Clyde's attempt to minimize the Capitol riot is particularly notable because he was photographed helping barricade the doors to the House floor from inside the chamber as pro-Trump rioters attempted to smash them down.

Fanone also said that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has refused to meet with him. Fanone, who suffered a heart attack after he was repeatedly stun gunned and beaten by rioters, advocated for the bipartisan commission to investigate the events of Jan. 6 before Republicans sunk the effort. The officer called Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's efforts to block the commission "absolutely disgraceful."
