The Today Show spotlights the border "crisis"

The story this morning followed folks trying to contact refugee families in the United States who were separated from their children. The persons doing the tracing and contacting are paid by the government (which has been ordered to do this by a federal court) to try to find people who for obvious reasons aren't anxious to be found, at least not by the U.S. government. The work is tedious, requires building a lot of trust with people who have been badly abused by government policies and actions, and doesn't register many successes. As such, the Biden administration has renewed funding for the tracers in an effort to reunite these cruelly separated families.

What was missing from the report? Any mention of the administration that broke up the families in the first place, and why it took the intervention of a federal court to make the government undo what it has done. While I'm glad the separated families are getting some national attention, NBC's curious editorial decision to avoid any mention of the former guy is . . . curious. Are they setting the table for another season of Celebrity Apprentice or something?

1. Seems the morning show is catering to older, more right leaning audience while evening

is the opposite.
