Check in if you're skipping tonight's debate.

I'm going to sidestep my morbid curiosity and get some reading done tonight.

Mitt will do his best to come across as the compassionate, caring individual we all know he isn't, whilst attempting to cast a more aggressive Obama as the "angry black man". I don't care if Mitt is able to pawn his newfound faux-charisma off on the pundits - I've already seen how utterly incompetent his people skills are when it really matters. The debate will go over topics I already know by heart (as you do, too) and watching it will probably just raise my blood pressure.

There is absolutely nothing Mitt Romney could say or do to tempt me to vote for him. He's a liar, a thief, and a tactless political slut who would say anything to get elected.

with mittens (bush redux) and with the president. in order to maintain the health of my telly (can't afford to buy a new one), I won't be watching. you can only scream so many times "liar, liar pants on fire" until the urge to kick the telly comes into play. especially when the talking bubble heads start talking afterwards, attempting to convince the plebes what they did or did not hear.

I will, however, come on line to get an overview.

through the new TV. I will check in on DU after the debates to get the general zeitgeist, but there's no need to enrage myself by watching the actual thing.

It's getting harder.

In my lifetime the word "Republican" has taken detours that would have Ike rolling over in the grave.

I didn't watch last week's VP debate either. After Romney's "performance" in the first debate (all the lies and the goofy-looking fake smile), and the media's gushing about how "presidential" he looked, well that was enough for me. I'll sit the rest of them out. I'll come here to read up on the aftermath, to find out if anything noteworthy took place, but that's about it.

I expect a spirited and vociferous discussion here afterward, with the following sides and everything between. (pro vs. con, the world is ending vs Obama kicked butt, MSNBC is a closet Republican butt licker vs. MSNBC is the greatest Liberal supporter, etc., etc., etc.) We liberals are not of the same mind about anything, otherwise we would be windup RomBots posting at Freepervile or more Cthonic realms.

We will all watch the polls in horripulation or orgasmilation until November 7, when we will celebrate 4 more years of President Obama.

Thanks to Taekwondo, I will continue to lose weight on my HMR diet. (56 pounds and counting.) My health must come first.

won't watch any of the media's analysis after either. Pisses me off how they twisted and misrepresented every thing Al Gore said to further the "Gore can't tell the truth" meme, but romney can just spout off lie after lie and the press refuses to call him on it!! I'll read the recap on Daily Kos in the am.

I think everyone knows who they are voting for.

Even if President Obama fell on his face I would still vote for him.

Being good with a debate doesn't make you a good President.

I am voting straight Democrat period.

I might rather vote for a Republican than support the Yankees, though in my mind it's kind of the same thing.
