Did Manchin already forget his miserable time in the senate minority?

When Dems were the senate minority..

Did Manchin have fun as a minority senator?

Manchin, are you yearning for the golden days of past when the GOP controlled your chamber?

Stay on the path your on, Joe. Steady your course.

The GOP has grand plans for you. You can pour their tea.

Joe, its been 6 months. Have you forgotten how ugly it is under Rethug control.

Help us win by helping people vote freely and fairly.

For some reason, I know you have it in you.

1. I'm sure he had fun.

He didn't have to do anything.

2. Spending time in the minority

should inform anyone of why allowing pure majority rule is a terrible idea.

3. I would laugh my ass off if Murkowski came over

and voted with dems to pass the end of the filibuster, making Manchin moot.

4. Manchin

Joe Manchin's father and grandfather were democrats and what my husband told me just
now, he's been approached and has basically said "NO" to the trumpicans. What worries me
more than Manchin is Kristen Sinema. This is a woman who started out as a Green Party
candidate and then morphed into a Progressive and then a moderate democrat. I used to think
she would take her hints from Manchin and kind of follow him but now, especially since she
missed the vote today, I'm worried. To me, more than infrastructure, more than police what
ever the new act is, more important than ANYTHING is the voting rights act. Without that,
nothing else matters. Talk me down, please!

6. If we criticize Manchin, does that still count as "bashing a Democrat?"

Asking for the membership at large and most of the nation.

8. Let's be honest, he represents the people of his State.

The ones who voted Trump by 70%

10. True. I'm gonna make a weak counter-argument.

They also re-elected Manchin. So there must be some love for their Senator to re-elect him.

I fully get it. WV is quite red yet they voted for Manchin.

Manchin can portray the filibuster as a tool of right wing extremism.

If he is the moderate he claims to be, then he should be opposed to the filibuster.

All he has to do is state his case to his constituents: The filibuster is an ancient relic of authoritarian governments.

13. Manchin uttering the words "Right Wing Extremism" would be like...

Senator Coons referring to "Left Wing Extremism"...

People would look at him like, "huh, wtf"??

11. Maybe he remembers what it's like to not be in the Senate at all.
