I can not be the only one.

I am tired.
I am tired of "this is the one that will bring trump down!"
I have heard this for more than four years with net zero results. Even my nine year old grandson agree to this.
Everything is just right around the corner, you wait and see, we got him now....
I am tired, and want much overdue results.

3. Don't pay attention to that BS anymore. If they get him I'll do a little dance,

but I’m tired of premature dancing. They haven’t gotten him yet despite plenty of evidence.

4. Trump's a guy who knows some guys who'll make death threats and carry them out if need be.

I don't think it's that surprising that he hasn't gone down yet. Organized crime is powerful and scary.

...is how fascists win, they wear you down...

...trump's been a strong moving fascist target but that doesn't make him invincible...

...I'm convinced circumstances will one day come together to let sunshine take him down...

...be patient...

11. I am old

and have absolutely no expectation of seeing any of this entire crowd of Republicans ever tried, found guilty, and punished.
With the Repub Billionaires paying all their legal fees, they will all keep appealing all the way up to an appellate court that has a judge, one of the countless judges they and the so called "FEDERALISTS" have installed, or even up to the Supremes if need be.

As I understand it, with the new law, written just last year by you know who, it takes a UNANIMOUS jury decision to convict in a criminal case.

You tell me, is it possible to seat a jury without at least one Trumphumper or Republican voter on the jury.

21. There is no new law requiring a unanimous verdict to convict in a criminal trial

That's always been the standard and it's not a "law" - it's required by the Constitution.

24. I'll take your word for it

but I read an article recently (in a legitimate? source). I'll have to see if I can find it...
As I seem to remember, it said there was a new law enacted in 2020 that now mandated a unanimous vote in criminal cases
Or perhaps that the Supreme Court confirmed that to be true, once again, in 2020....?????
Perhaps it was new in several states??????
I'll keep looking.

Thx SS

25. I think I know what you're talking about now

You're probably referring to the Ramos case in which the Supreme Court ruled last year that the requirement of unanimous jury verdicts in criminal trials applies to all the states. Until then, this applied to all federal criminal trials and every state, except Louisiana and Oregon also required unanimity (Louisiana began mandating unanimity years ago, but the defendant was convicted under the previous law). The Supreme Court held that its earlier holding that the 6th Amendment requires unanimous jury verdicts in federal criminal trials also applies to state court proceedings.

This is a legally and morally correct approach. People should not be convicted of crimes based on a majority vote of a jury.

26. Bingo SS

I looked it up and it was Ramos.............

Thx.

Not sure how I feel about Unanimous vs majority........I could easily argue either side depending on the situation.

Didn't OJ get off due to Jury Nullification because of the personal bias they held....I think that is the term.

My wife, many years ago sat on an armed robbery trial. (I've never even been asked because of my profession in the last 50+ years)
They had three eye witnesses, and un-ending substantiation of his having committed the crime, but one woman was concerned about the fact the cop said he pulled up the street from the west, when he had actually pulled in from the east. Totally irrelevant to the issue at hand. She wouldn't change her mind, and the armed robber was acquitted............Don't know if it was appealed or not.

Thx to commentators like you that help some of us with information!!!!!!!!!

27. For every OJ case

there are hundreds of cases of poor, unconnected people lost in the justice system. Prosecutors have a huge advantage while defendants are at a distinct disadvantage. Prosecutors need to have the highest burden of proof in order to consign someone to loss of liberty or life. I would never want a non-unanimous jury to be able to convict a person of a crime.

I said, I could argue this either way................It is a real dilemma......

And don't forget to mention the police. Their complicity is every bit as tragic as the Prosecution and DA's........

this BS. How the Hell long does it take
to run an investigation. Even down in Georgia.
Down there he is on a recording.
And the BS answer is, they want to be sure!
Come on that's BS. Or We went from Civil to
Criminal. Come on now Civil is still a crime
is it not man the BS doesn't stop. Why so long
because that SOB has been mustering his
hate group, and the ones doing the investigations
are scared shitless to charge him.

I'm not holding out for justice. I just want him gone from the face of the earth. Justice would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath. I can't wait until he is six-feet under.

19. I'm with you. I long ago felt he'd never be successfully prosecuted for anything. Please.

Whether the former guy is rich or 'rich,' he's pretty much untouchable. I expect him to run again in 2024 and win, frankly. This country is a cesspool. It would be a mercy for this country if he would just drop dead, but we can't count on it. A lot of these evil motherfuckers operate on sheer hate and spleen and live way into their 80's.

18. The former man is 70 some odd years old with most of it in NY...

and hasn't suffered the consequences of as much as a parking fine.

Meanwhile, everyone with sense and a grain of integrity knows he's been mobbed up and committing severe criminal acts (to include sexual assault) for most of that time.

Suddenly, he's crossed some line that the average American would have been thrown away for life for even being associated with decades ago and they're going to throw the book at him, now?

Yeah, I'm mildly skeptical.
