yet. But I was going to post on this topic, too. My post would have been about how similar Modi and Netanyahu are to Trump and how I think that but for winning the election, these kinds of catastrophic events could have happened here.

Modi, according to articles I read in the NY Times and Washington Post, ignored Covid for the sake of his campaign. In Feb and Mar he allowed huge rallies to take place for the sake of his campaign. No masking. Now who does that sound like?

Netanyahu is being blamed for the stampede because he refused to limit the participants at the festival. He did this because he routinely plays favorites for his base, which is the far right.

Again, who does that sound like?

Now I am going to read the article you posted. I will be curious to see if it touches on these points.
