Their premise was wrong from the beginning.

The premise being that the election was stolen from them. Over-looking the fact that for 4 years, Donald Trump was never able to reach 50% in any poll in America. The majority did not agree with him.

It is not logical to believe that he won the last election in a landslide. It is not logical to believe that he won at all.

This was the first misstep. All actions after such a false premise, are created from a false premise, or more accurately, a lie.

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good
fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. Matthew - 7:17 (KJV)

1. Cults and cultists create their own premise. It's impossible to reason with them. The kindest

thing to do with them is lock them up.

2. I think the trial of Rudy Giuliani will be of great benefit to America.

The idea that justice cannot thrive in a democracy unless there is some degree of consensus.

6. maybe 20 years ago you could reason with them but they have lost their minds

since 9/11 and Obama and particularly under Trump.

4. IT WAS AN INSANE POSITION FROM THE BEGINNING AND GODDAMN

it only shows how fucking off the rails the GOP has become that they support it at all. And the media did ok pushing back on it but of course should have been MUCH MORE AGGRESSIVE about it, as they should have for everything Trump.

5. If you listened to Trump over the 4 years, you might ask yourself, "why does he even want it?"

For 4 years; it was Obama's fault, it was someone else who did it, it was a coffee boy who did that horrible thing, anytime something bad happened it was somebody else's fault, the liberals, the left, he was "new" at this is what we heard for 3 years, it was the state governments responsible for things, he ran away from the pandemic, he hid in a bunker, etc.

The executive branch isn't a position to preen about it, it isn't a slush fund, it isn't something where "he's new at this" is an excuse for incompetence. You're chief trader, chief diplomat, chief face of the US, chief representative of the US collectively, commander in chief, a person where not just one party or small group of people can say "he represents us" but as many people as possible can say that, supposed to gather up some of the best minds to advise the government when it comes to science and culture in form of the cabinet, etc. Trump ran away from those roles and responsibilities. And the voters saw that. And we all know he suddenly won't accept those roles and responsibilities when 2024 comes around.

7. he is a Russian asset and an extreme narcissist.

Being president made him feel good and he was awful because he was following Putin's orders.

9. Love of Money

He only does things if motivated by money. He thinks POTUS will increase his wealth. Therefore, someone, something, somewhere, cash is flowing into the Trump bank accounts.

He was paid to be POTUS, and it wasn’t by the American people. He laughed at us and even rejected the salary as a mere pittance to a rich guy like him. So, whose payroll is he secretly on?

19. Yes, that's a big part of it. But obviously he's being paid by Russia at some level.

We know he did a lot of money laundering for them and no doubt a lot of other shady shit we don't have the details on yet.

he accused the Emmy's of cheating when his dumb show lost. He's a narcissist and it's his illness that won't allow him to accept the truth. The man is mentally ill.

17. It is an analogy.

You cannot plant a tree of lies and grow a tree of truth. Good "fruit" cannot grow from an evil tree.

12. Any person who ever ran for President and lost could have whined and cried and urged their

supporters to protest the results of that election. ANY one of them.
But, they didn't.
ONLY Trump was a big enough cry baby to acct like this.

18. Yes. "Only trump was a big enough cry baby to act like this"

So right!

He's a perpetual victim, whiner, and crybaby (as you say)... It's always mystified me that this appealed to people and they considered him someone to be championed and pushed forward as a leader.

14. They have ruined every election in the future...

There is no stopping either side now that precedent has been established challenging every election on any basis. Continuing to pour doubt is the game plan it seems.

We here may be able to shake off that doubt but most citizens are not as politically informed.
While their actions may seem illogical to us, they are out to destroy the system, sowing doubt, crazy challenges, new voting regulations or the threat of such legislation is going to rock some peoples faith in the system. They may just not vote...why bother? ... just going to be challenged.

Or so a campus preacher I heard once claimed, back in the Reagan age.

16. With Rs, it's never about whether something is correct or logical.

They abandoned any interest in reality ages ago. What matters to them is whether it is useful to their agenda, and I would say that it very much is, since their agenda is to permanently ensconce themselves in power by ending elections as we know them.

I don't think any of them actually believes it (apart from the rubes who vote for them). Even TFG knows he lost, but his narcissism won't allow him to acknowledge it.

So yes, the Rs are always going to say things that are contrary to reality, the important thing is to understand what they hope to gain from it. But they haven't made any missteps at all. It looks like they're going to get exactly what they're after.
