1. We're getting ads for all the Propositions in California now

Non stop. Now I know what swing states are like but these are less nasty.

3. There is one against Tammy Baldwin who was our Congresswoman and is now running for Senator

They have a clip of her saying "Damn Right" and they play it 3 times during the ad while they are saying she's farther to the left than Pelosi and Obama. Of course there is no context for the clip and it makes her look harsh. It just annoys the HELL out of me every single time I see it because it has no content, its just nasty.

2. Here in NYC we are getting the Linda McMahon ads for CT. I hate her so much!

4. The superpacs will run a negative ad

And then immediately after the Republican candidate will run a positive ad. Both are usually demonstrably false.

5. Had to choose "Other." I live in Texas.

We're getting all Obama commercials, now. I haven't seen a Willard commercial in months. I'm amazed by this, but thrilled!

Back when Willard still had commercials airing here, I'd have had to pick "I live in a red state so I'm used to the crazy." I don't miss that, at all!

6. I catch some of them on DU and Crooks&Liars. Some of them are sad, others amusing.

I'm just really glad I don't watch TV.

7. We pretape everything we watch and they zip right through the commercial breaks so we don't see any.

If we watch one program while taping another, we just hit the mute button.

9. The only things connected to our TV are VCRs, DVD players, and a LaserDisc player.

Although I did figure out how to get EVERYTHING to run through the amplifier and equalizer out to the primary speakers. It takes some switches, but it works. That includes a high-end turntable, a dual cassette deck, and a CD changer - well, and a receiver of course.

I barely have the chance to watch videos posted on DU. How the fuck do people have time to sit in front of a boob toob all day watching the same shit repeated every ten minutes? If I want that, I'll go to a bar - at least THEY have draft beer!

11. In my area it's Gallegos (D) vs Canseco (R)

For congress. They both look the same: same age, glasses, slightly receding hairlines. Both of their commercials have cowboy themes.
The commercials come back to back.

12. I live in Nevada and absolutely HATE all the campaign ads

it's been non-stop for months. Sometimes the same ad 2 or more times during a single commercial break.

I can't stand to sit through the ads anymore so I make sure to mute the tv and get up and do something else for a couple of minutes

13. I'm avoiding a whole heap of stations and networks, sticking to AMC, Sci-fY, Oxygen

where ever a proliferation of ads is not out of control.

Have to bite my tongue when watching local news though

My mom tells me they are absolutely obnoxious and she uses her DVR to sift the wheat from the chaff.
